Amir Liaquat passed away in Karachi.

 Due to the death of a member of the National Assembly, the session of the National Assembly was adjourned till tomorrow.

Famous television host and politician Amir Liaquat Hussain passed away at his residence in Karachi on Thursday - weeks after the "farewell" in an emotional video message to Pakistan.

Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain - who was also a PTI MNA from a constituency in Karachi - was found unconscious at his home in Khudadad Colony of the Metro Police, according to his servant Javed.

The 50-year-old man was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Ramzan Chhepa, head of Chhepa Welfare Trust, also confirmed that Dr Amir had died 15 to 20 minutes before he was brought to the hospital.

Referring to his will, the benefactor said that the slain television personality wanted to be buried at the mausoleum of Abdullah Shah Ghazi along with his parents' mausoleum. He added that he would take care of the last rites of the deceased.

Family sources told the Express Tribune that preparations for the funeral have begun. Arrangements have also been made for the arrival of Amir Liaquat's son.

He said the flight to the UK airport was taking time due to restrictions on Cove 19. He further said that the time of funeral prayer has not been fixed yet.

The National Assembly was in session when the news of Dr Aamir broke on TV. Speaker Pervaiz Ashraf, while confirming the demise, adjourned the house proceedings till 5pm tomorrow.

According to sources, the anchor had the door of his room locked from inside. The servant knocked on it several times in the morning, but to no avail. He revealed that Dr Aamir had complained of chest pain on Wednesday night.




The driver of the former MNA told police that he had heard screams from his [Aamir's] room the day before. Khadim Javed further said that Dr. Amir kept crying all night and kept saying that I was about to die.

Javed said, "He [Dr. Amir] kept repeating that he has betrayed me. "I don't know if he has cast black magic on me or not. I think I am going to die here," he said, quoting Dr Amir. When asked who he was referring to. "His wife," said Javed.

Javed recalled that Dr Aamir had told him at night that he would leave for Islamabad in the morning.


Dr Amir's body has been shifted to Jinnah Hospital for postmortem. Police have denied the allegations in a statement issued Friday stating "Similar, baseless allegations concerning police have been made more than once.

A medical board has been formed for this purpose. Police Surgeon Karachi Dr. Samia Syed will head the board while Dr. Sikandar Azam and Dr. Rajendra Kumar will be the other members. However, there are reports that the family has stopped the authorities from conducting the autopsy.

Dr. Aamir was heartbroken when his third wife, Dania Shah, leaked objectionable videos of him before he filed for divorce - his third with "18-year-old Syeda Dania Shah" by popular TV host. Just a few months after the news of the marriage broke, they belong to a local family.

The couple tied the knot in February, but differences soon emerged. Dania Shah accused them of alcoholism, drugs and violence. He also shared an objectionable video clip of Dr. Aamir to prove his claim which later went viral on social media.

"Everyone has buried my reputation on a girl who should not have been interviewed earlier. She filed for divorce and I was complying," the TV host said in her last video message. Said

"All these new YouTubers and so-called journalists who have come forward [to cover Dania] have done a great injustice to Pakistan. I can't even face my children. I have no choice but to leave the country." ' They said.

Before joining PTI, Dr. Amir was associated with the Karachi-based MQM. He has been the Minister of State under the military dictator General Pervez Musharraf. He was twice elected to the National Assembly - first in 2002 and then in 2018.

He was born on July 5, 1972. He is survived by two children.

Dr. Amir Ramzan was a popular host of Transmissions - Game Shows that run before and after Iftar during the month of Ramadan. Starting his media career in 2001 after joining a private news channel, he hosted "Alam Online", which was instrumental in his early popularity. He was also associated with the Express Media Group. He has hosted Ramadan shows throughout his career.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, former President Asif Ali Zardari, PPP Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former Sindh Governor Imran Ismail expressed their grief over the death of Dr Amir and wished him well. Expressed wishes Prayed for

President Arif Ali expressed sorrow over the demise of the League leader and prayed for his soul.
