  1. Military forces open blocked communication infrastructure such as motorways and highways.

Inter-Services Public Relations said on Sunday that Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps troops are engaged in rescue and relief operations in flood-hit areas of the country, and are busy repairing highways and motorways to restore connectivity.

According to a statement from the army's media wing, the army and FC personnel are "engaged in rescue and relief activities besides providing medical care and opening communication infrastructure".

Providing an update on the flow of various rivers, the ISPR said all rivers were "flowing as normal" except for the low flood in the Indus at Attock, Tarbela, Chashma and Guddu. In the Kabul River, there was a low-level flood at Warsak and a medium-level flood at Nowshera.

Conditions in KP

According to the statement, the highest rainfall of 133 mm was recorded in Mardan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, followed by 85 mm rainfall in Mohmand district.

The ISPR said that the troops made efforts to drain the water in Mardan.

He added that floods have been reported in local drains in Mohmand.

Southern Punjab

In south Punjab, "all hill cyclones are flowing normally, except for some enhanced flow in Mathwan, Kaha and Sanghar Hills," the statement said.

ISPR said local commanders visited Rajanpur and DG Khan where relief items were distributed to flood-affected people and medical camps were set up.

Balochistan

Jhal Magsi

In Balochistan's Jhal Magsi, "full connectivity to Gandhawa has been restored".

The army's media wing said that there are no more isolated areas in and around Gandhava, further relief operations are underway.

They also have an army medical camp in which 115 patients have been treated so far.

Khuzdar

M-8 Motorway is still blocked in Khuzdar city. "Work is underway to restore connectivity," an ISPR statement said.

According to the statement, 145 affected people were treated in the field medical camp organized by CMH Khuzdar and FC in Hafizabad.

Naseerabad

In the small city of Naseerabad, ISPR said that no rain was reported throughout the day.

"Relief activities are underway for the affected population of Babakot and Gandha," the statement said, adding that food as well as cooked food was distributed among the flood victims.

Apart from this, various patients were treated in the field medical camp at Gandkha.

Chaman

No rain was reported in Chaman district of Balochistan. ISPR said Bab Dosti (Dosti Gate) on Pakistan-Afghan border is fully functional.

Noshki

No rain was reported in Nushki city either. "Rescue efforts are on for the trapped people," ISPR said.

According to the statement, "more than a thousand people were served cooked food".

The army's media wing said the N-40 highway, which was damaged at three places, had been "repaired and restored to traffic".

Lasbella

ISPR said that there has been no rain in the last few hours in Lasbela district and the situation is stabilizing.

According to the army's media wing, five field medical camps at Naka, Bela, Dodar, Hub and Gadani are providing medical assistance.

The statement said the N-25 highway has been reopened and bridge repairs are underway.

"The General Officer Commanding at Gwadar visited Hub and Uthal," the statement added: "Two sorties of Mi-17 were conducted and 1,500 kg ration items were distributed in Hub and Uthal." "

Kala Saifullah

Rain was reported in Kala Seflala, Antare district.

Muslim Garden

ISPR said that more than 200 patients were treated in the field medical camp set up in Khazaina.

Gilgit-Baltistan

Army also conducted operations in Gilgit-Baltistan.

"Two landslides were reported near Secunderabad on the Karakoram Highway," ISPR said.

"The road has been opened to one-way traffic by the FWO," it added.
