Alia Many 'Kaswal' Thesis in Bollywood: 'It was subject to extreme misogyny'

Alia Bhatt talks about facing casual sexism and how she gets random sexist comments overtime in Bollywood.

Alia said that after hearing these comments, she did not realize that it was sexism. However, he later became aware of it. She also said that it bothers her when she hears such sexist comments.

When asked if he has faced casual sexism in Bollywood like fellow female producers and actors, the Student of the Year actor replied, “I think I have faced it from time to time. What. A lot of times I don't pay attention to it. When I think back now because I'm so familiar with it, it just makes sense like, 'Oh my God that was such a sexist comment, or That I was basically very rude back then. So now I'm a lot more sensitive. Sometimes my friends are like, 'What's wrong with you, why are you so aggressive?'

She added, "But it's not about that, just random things like 'don't be so sensitive, you're being so sensitive, are you PMSing.' I'm not sensitive, and even if I'm PMSing so what? You were born because women were PMSing. It really bothers me when people say these random things.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia is all set for the release of her first production film, Darlings, which is set to release on Netflix on August 5, 2022.
