Alan Granger, a 61-year-old grandfather, discovered he had been spelling his name wrong all his life.

According to The Sun, Granger said, "I'm 61 years old and I've been spelling my name wrong all my life... I even got a tattoo but the mistake was too easy."

He recently received his birth certificate which shows that he has one L in his name instead of two. However, Granger now has his fake name tattooed on his arm and hand.

Interestingly, all his official documents, including his marriage certificate and driver's license, bear two L's instead of one.

Granger is a factory worker from Derbyshire and is shocked when he discovers this.

He added that his parents have also been spelling his name wrong all this time.
