Johnny Depp wanted to see hidden evidence photos of Amber Heard in court.

                                                                           File footage.

Johnny Depp reportedly wanted to whitelist cleared photos of his wife Amber Harding in pre-trial court documents in a high-profile anti-defamation case.

In newly unsealed court documents seen by The Daily Beast, Depp not only wanted to submit nude photos of his ex-wife, but also to offer that she works as a bodyguard.

"Mr. Depp unreasonably seeks to introduce evidence of the following unrelated personal matters," Heard's lawyers said in a motion.

"Nude photos of Amber Heard," and "Mr. Depp as an exotic dancer prior to his brief encounter with Amber," for example, the attorney said.

The lawyers claimed the Pirates of the Caribbean star was "frivolously and maliciously trying to suggest that Ms Heard was at one time a protector."

However, the judge did not allow the indecent photos of the actor to be shown because Heard's team argued they were "irrelevant personal matters".

The strategy from Depp's hotshot legal team comes just days after the Aquaman star appealed a court ruling that ruled in favor of her ex-husband in a six-week-long abuse trial.

The court found that Heard defamed Depp in her 2018 campaign ad in which she wrote for the Washington Post that she described herself as a victim of domestic abuse.

Depp was awarded $10.35 million in damages, while Heard won one of her three counterclaims and was awarded $2 million in damages.

Following Heard's appeal, Depp's legal team also filed a notice to appeal the ruling, which ordered the actor to pay his ex-wife $2 million in damages.
