PTI Secretary General Asad Umar on Monday accused the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) of being part of the PDM alliance when he asked the Islamabad High Court on behalf of his party to accept the resignations of the electoral body. Filed an application against the decision. 11 members of the National Assembly.

"A petition has been filed in the Islamabad High Court against the Election Commission accepting the resignation of 11 MLAs of its choice," the PTI leader said on Twitter.

He said that "all the members of Tehreek-e-Insaaf have resigned in front of the whole country, all resignations should be accepted at the same time".

Earlier, while talking to the media outside the Islamabad High Court, the PTI leader said that we have approached the court against accepting the resignations of 11 members.

"On April 11, 125 of our people resigned on the floor of the assembly, and on April 13, Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri accepted the resignation," Umar said.

He claimed that party members resigned as a result of alleged foreign interference that led to the overthrow of his party's government at the Centre.

Umar added that social media youth should suggest a party symbol for ECP as it has become a part of PDM.

The PTI leader accused the ECP of being involved in "illegal activity" and said that the PTI refused to be part of the conspiracy and thus resigned, and that the ECP Accepted 11 voluntary resignations last week.

Single notification 11-page MPS

Last week, 11 Pati Manas was followed by Tahir Rasgantonis B. Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf.

According to ECP, Ali Muhammad Khan, Fazal Muhammad Khan, Shaukat Ali, Fakhar Zaman Khan, Farrukh Habib, Ijaz Ahmed Shah, Jameel Ahmed Khan, Muhammad Akram Cheema, Abdul Shakur Shad, Shireen Mehronisa Mazari, Shandana Gulzar Khan were de-notified. Is. . .

This action was taken after Speaker Ashraf accepted the resignation of 11 PTI members under Article 64(1) of the Constitution of Pakistan.

The spokesperson of the National Assembly said that a notification has also been issued in this regard. This was announced on the official Twitter handle of the National Assembly.

However, PTI had claimed that Speaker Ashraf's approval has no legal significance.

Senior PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry had said that the acceptance of resignations of 11 PTI MNAs has no legal status as former Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri had accepted the resignations.

PTI lawmakers had resigned en masse after Imran Khan's government was toppled by a no-confidence motion in April.

Later, the then Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri accepted the resignation and issued a notification in this regard.
