Internet users are shocked and outraged after a black child was ignored by the Chuck E. Cheese mascot at an entertainment center in the US city of New Jersey.
A video posted by @hijabella on Instagram shows a black kid excitedly raising his hand to get a high-five from Chuck E. Cheese - but he completely ignores her. Is.
The mascot was walking down a row giving high fives to all the white kids.
"Cold world," commented one user.
Others wrote encouraging comments in support of the black girl.
"Yes, that princess is just a ray of sunshine!! And I pray she never lets this ugly world dim her light!!"
"One of the best kids in the world. I'm so mad at him," wrote another.
The manager defended his case by saying that he was "unable to see her" in her dress and then posed for a photo with the girl. The picture shows the little girl crossing her arms with the mascot.
The incident comes a month after two black children were apparently neglected by a Sesame Street mascot in Philadelphia.
Again, the two kids raised their hands for high fives but the Cookie Monster mascot shook his head and walked away from them.
The theme park later apologized for the incident.
