Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who spent the day in Lahore amid heightened political tensions, called on former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan's offer to hold general elections talks with allies. Have decided to consult with Country.

Shehbaz was asked by parties within the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) to use his strategy to deal with the PTI chairman's threat to dissolve the provincial assemblies of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to force the government to hold fresh general elections. During the briefing, leaders of Shehbaz Sharif's Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) said that the no-confidence motion was ready to be tabled before the dissolution of the provincial assembly.

"The option of implementing governor's rule is also open," he told the prime minister, adding that "the governor can seek a vote of confidence in the Punjab Assembly at any time."

PML-N leaders also claimed that Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has already lost his majority in the assembly.

Imran's latest offer was also reviewed.

Despite the declarations of the rejection of the offer by the federal ministers, Shahbaz Sharif said that any decision should be taken after consultation with all the coalition parties.

بریفنگ کے دوران شہباز شریف کی پاکستان مسلم لیگ نواز (پی ایم ایل این) کے رہنماؤں نے کہا کہ تحریک عدم اعتماد صوبائی اسمبلی کی تحلیل سے قبل پیش کرنے کے لیے تیار ہے۔

انہوں نے وزیراعظم کو بتایا کہ "گورنر راج کے نفاذ کا آپشن بھی تیار ہے،" انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ "گورنر کسی بھی وقت پنجاب اسمبلی میں اعتماد کا ووٹ مانگ سکتے ہیں۔"

مسلم لیگ ن کے رہنماؤں نے یہ بھی دعویٰ کیا کہ وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب چوہدری پرویز الٰہی پہلے ہی اسمبلی میں اکثریت کھو چکے ہیں۔

عمران کی تازہ پیشکش کا بھی جائزہ لیا گیا۔

وفاقی وزراء کی جانب سے پیشکش مسترد کرنے کے اعلانات کے باوجود شہباز شریف نے کہا کہ کوئی بھی فیصلہ تمام اتحادی جماعتوں سے مشاورت کے بعد کرنا چاہیے۔
